  • Textile Technology is in fact the oldest among the technologies mingled in every human beings day to day life. But, in the present day context textile technology has become a balanced mixture of all its conventional and contemporary technologies. The programme is basically a tailor made job oriented programme with ample amount of diversified career prospects. Moreover, this course also has the intrinsic nature to direct the young technocrats towards a variety of entrepreneurship opportunities. So, the programme and its curriculum are meticulously designed by keeping these multifarious objectives in the mind. The programme is equipoised with theoretical and practical aspects of textiles starting from fibres to fabrics. Apart from that the disciples of the programme are being imparted the basic skills of fashion, garmenting, technical textiles, management, industrial engineering and safety etc., by considering the huge entry level employment prospects in these areas. The students are imparted on hand training for effective communication skill, personality development integrated with interpersonal skills apart from the curriculum which grooms them to fit perfectly into the shoes of a beginner level professional.

    III Year

    Coloration to textiles and computerized color matching
    Providing variety of aesthetic and functional finishes to textiles
    Emerging technologies of yarn and fabric production
    Garmenting technology
    Usage of cad and cam in textiles and designing
    Textile quality evaluation
    IV Year
    Students engage with the specialized learning of technology, management and electives such as

  • Career Opportunities
    The threshold level job opportunities in the field of textiles, garments, textile machinery servicing and marketing, technical textiles are aplenty for the students who are in the verge of completing their B.Tech (Textile Technology) programme. They can go for employment from the very next moment after the completion of their final examination. They are eligible to go for higher education such as M.Tech., MBA etc., Moreover, they are also eligible for appearing the competitive examinations like UPSC, Group I and Group II periodically conducted by Central and State Governments for filling up the government job vacancies.
