Ratnavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul takes pride in offering these high technology oriented professional degree courses to the young students aspiring for challenging career. Petroleum Engineering Education is conducted only at a few places in India with still lesser number have an experience more than twenty years. In order to meet the present and future demand of trained and Quality Manpower in the area of Downstream Processes, Petrochemicals and Chemical Process Industry, Ratnavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul has been conducting a four year degree course (BE, Petrochemical), affiliated to the Anna University Chennai, which is recognized as a University with potential for excellence. The Petrochemical Engineering department has excellent infrastructural facilities for training students in this interdisciplinary program. PETROTECH Chapter for Petrochemical Engineering students has been effectively carrying out interaction with the industry by conducting seminars, group discussions, lecture series etc. This programme is accredited to the National Board of Accreditation of the AICTE, New, Delhi. Chemical industry leaders such as PRAJ, HONEYWELL, TOYO, WIPRO, ESSAR, RELIANCE, GAIL, THERMAX, etc. employ pass outs from the department. Students are also employed in upstream sector of Petroleum exploration and Production. Newly established student chapter by Petrotech Society of India is expected to forge strong ties with the refining sector in the country that will help in improved placement in Petrochemical sector
