  • Course Overview
    Electronics and communication Engineering is a field that involves complex electronic apparatus, circuits and equipments that help in executing speedy and efficient communication systems Electronic communications engineers engage in research, design, development and testing of the electronic equipment used in various communications systems. These engineers design, fabricate, maintain, supervise and manufacture electronic equipments used in computer, communication industry, defense, entertainment industry etc.. Besides giving a thorough grounding in basic sciences and engineering subjects, the curriculum in Electronics and communication Engineering lays greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles and state of the art knowledge about electronic devices and circuits, computer architecture and microprocessors, VLSI and embedded systems, electromagnetic field theory, analog and digital communication, digital signal processing, microwave and broadband communications.
  • Course Breakup
    First year of electronics and communication engineering course is dedicated in learning about basic engineering techniques such as engineering mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering drawing, Fundamentals of Electron devices and Circuit Theory. From second year of studies student start to learn about core Electronics and communication engineering subjects like Analog& digital electronics, fundamentals of communication engineering, signals and systems, electromagnetic theory. From third year students apply the fundamentals learned in second year in designing communication systems, Antennas, Microprocessors ,VLSI, Computer networks and architecture, Processing Digital Signals. In the fourth year students learn Wireless, Microwave & Fiber Optical Communication and they have to do a Project in their area of interest.
  • Career Opportunities
    There are many good opportunities for jobs available after completing B.E ECE in the Central government departments like Defense, Railways, All India Radio, Airport Authority of India, Post and Telegraph, Indian Engineering Services, etc. One can also start a career in public sector firms like Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, Bharat Electricals Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, Steel Authority of India Limited, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, Indian Space Research Organization, Indian Oil Corporation. There are many private companies Reliance, Samsung, Tata, LG, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc. One can also pursue further studies like M.E., M.Tech, MBA, and M.S by writing GATE, GRE, CAT, TANCET examination etc
