  • Course Overview
Civil engineering is a mother of all professional engineering disciplines. Civil engineers plan, design, develop, build, manage, rehabilitate and operate the physical elements of the human habitat. Almost every aspect of everyday life is impacted by projects conceived, designed and constructed by civil engineers. Civil Engineering, like all other fields, is comprised of many sub disciplines. Primary areas of concentration include transportation, geotechnical, environmental, structural engineering, and construction engineering and management. This course aims to produce the well ethical professionals to fulfill the necessity of society in terms of infrastructure.
  • Course Breakup
    I Year
As beginners, students are engaged with the fundamentals of sciences like
    Engineering mathematics
    Engineering physics
    Engineering chemistry
    Fundamentals of computing
    II Year
Let them step into the basics of the core subjects with proper practical explanations like
    Mechanics of solids
    Mechanics of fluids
    Soil mechanics
    Numerical methods
    Surveying I & II
    Strength of materials
    Surveying laboratory and
    Strength of materials laboratory
    III Year
Make them earn the most required design knowledge of both steel and RCC structures with variety of other areas too
    Structural analysis I & II
    Design of RC elements
    Design of steel structures
    Foundation engineering
    Construction Techniques, Equipment and Practice
    Environmental engineering I & II
    Irrigation engineering
    Technical seminar I
    IV Year
As they became already a half engineer, students are being focused on the management and field oriented papers to make them a complete CIVIL engineer
    Prestressed concrete structures
Basics of Dynamics and Aseismic Design
    Estimation and Quantity Surveying
Computer aided design and drafting laboratory
    Industrial waste management
    Engineering Economics and Cost Analysis
In the tail end of the 7th semester, students are motivated by let them do a design project and
In the 8th semester, a main project has been allotted to let the students use the total knowledge gained by them throughout the course.
  • Career Opportunities
As a never old discipline of professional courses, students can be getting a job as soon as they have finished their course. The opportunities are widely open as the industry of infra structure is in boom. The most important aspect is that the course is not only making them as employees, but give them an opportunity to become an ENTREPRENEUR. Apart from that they have wide open in the public and private sectors like
Execution engineers in public Sectors like:
    RAILWAYS
    SAIL
    NTPC
    NLC
    PED/CPWD
    STATE HIGHWAYS/NATIONAL HIGHWAYS
    TWAD BOARD
    HOUSING BOARD
    TNEB
Execution engineers and design engineers in private sectors.
